The HOUSE OF COLOUR was established over twenty years ago by the desire to renew the pride in craftsmanship and to reinforce the recognition of the importance of craftsmanship in design. Our intentions are focused on the strengthening of building culture and craftsmanship as well as on the promotion of dialogue between design and crafts.
Our Professional School offers innovative postgraduate training programs. Our Institute carries out activities in the field of research and provides consulting for companies, authorities and institutions.
Through an individualized consultation, we promote the transfer of our knowledge to enable a differentiated and effective use of colour - in companies, institutions and for public spaces. We support our customers in several respects:

Instigated by professional painters, the attention of the School was initially focused on colour design in architecture. But soon the HOUSE OF COLOUR extended to a wide range of crafts and professions. Together with seven professional associations, we created the training course ‘Craft Designer’. The original specialisation of the school in colour design has therefore broadened to become the ‘Professional School for Design in Craft and Architecture’.
Our diplomas are certified by the Swiss Federation. The language of instruction is German.
